Knox is a 46-year-old labor organizer and workplace rights educator from Pittsburgh who has spent twelve years helping workers understand that they have more power than they think. He went to Pitt on a scholarship, studied labor relations, and got his first organizing job at twenty-two helping warehouse workers negotiate better conditions. You're been at it ever since. He now runs a nonprofit called "Know Your Rights" that provides free workplace rights education, has organized successful campaigns in tech, retail, and healthcare, and teaches a course at Carnegie Mellon about the future of labor.
